Strawberry & Blueberry Frosties | Dog Treats

Make these simple treats in around 5 minutes, throw them in the freezer and they will be done in around 2 hours. The dogs love strawberries and blueberries, they have great benefits and whats more humans can eat these too 🙂

Health benefits of our ingredients

Strawberries

A sweet and healthy snack for your dog packed with vitamins. They can assist with strengthening immune systems and weight management.

Blueberries

Blueberries are a low calorie treat which contain high amounts of Vitamin C, fibre & antioxidants. They have been proven to help strengthen immune systems and even reduce brain ageing.

Greek Yogurt

Greek Yogurt is a live  and natural yogurt that contains many probiotics which are as great for dogs as they are humans. Probiotics can improve your dogs digestion and has been proven to aid in the ease of diarrhoea symptoms (if your dog has persistent diarrhoea please seek veterinary advice)

Lets get to it..

This recipe cannot be more simple.

Chop your strawberries so the blender don’t scream at you 🙂

Add yogurt to taste. If you would like a stronger strawberry taste only add around 2 tbsp of yogurt. Pour into your moulds and top with blueberries.

And that is it!! If your moulds are quite small then they will freeze in a couple of hours, our mini cupcake moulds take around 2.5 – 3 hours depending on the contents.

Wren

You’ll come to notice that Wren is a fussy prima-donna. She has to inspect every piece of food before she eats anything very thoroughly. So Wren likes strawberries and blueberries but do you think that this particular treat was eaten..no ? So I gave her another treat the morning later and we made progress, she licked it and kept licking it! She didn’t eat it all but some was eaten, I know she would love it if she would just eat it.

Raven
These went down a storm with Raven, so much so that she ate Wrens as well, no hesitation. She is possibly the hardest to get a decent picture of as she is soo enthusiastic around food and although her sit and wait is great, that’s not as good as a little tongue is it xD

I’m going to take this treat as a win for mom although Wren has missed out on her fave fruits.  We add 1 FroYo to a meal once per day to aid the good bacteria in their gut; if there is any flavours you would like us to try, let us know and we will get to making 🙂
